This is the time when we look back and take stock of what we’ve accomplished, the milestones we’ve hit, the people we’ve met, the music we’ve listened to, and recount our favorite memories. We at ETC are, once again, jumping on that bandwagon with a look back at our blog stories of 2023.  We’ll look at some of the series, interviews, and installation features we wrote about this year; and top it off with a couple of our staff favorites. Here’s to a great 2023! ## **Stage Lighting Design Series** Welcome to the fascinating world of stage lighting, where we take you on a journey through the essential aspects of lighting design. From the very basics of light and color to the technological innovations that help you to bring your artistic vision to life. Whether you're an aspiring lighting designer, a theatre enthusiast, or simply curious about the art, we've got you covered. This year, we published the first six parts of this series, but don’t worry – as one of our most popular series of all time, there are more planned for 2024! For the past few years, Mike and his team have been working extensively with followspots that are controlled through the lighting console. [This post is full of tips, tricks, and things they learned after countless experiments with Eos consoles and followspots.](https://blog.etcconnect.com/followspot-control-on-eos)   More Eos tips and tricks To piggyback on the Eos tips and tricks, we have one more series from earlier in the year – a four-part series on Eos Template Show File Creation. She has several gardens that she swears she’ll be able to keep up with someday. And she enjoys stretchy things like new socks, yoga, and taffy. She writes a lot, she reads a lot and she plays with her kids a lot. #### You may also like [![](https://blog.etcconnect.com/hubfs/Imported_Blog_Media/Starbucks2_ETC-e1538408051145-750x500.jpg)](https://blog.etcconnect.com/2018/10/etc-lights-starbucks-in-shanghai) [SPOTLIGHT](https://blog.etcconnect.com/tag/spotlight) ### [ETC lights Starbucks in Shanghai](https://blog.etcconnect.com/2018/10/etc-lights-starbucks-in-shanghai) By [Rachel Frederick](https://blog.etcconnect.com/author/rachel-frederick) 3-Oct-2018 Starbucks opened a new Reserve Roastery in Shanghai in December 2017.
