Meet the New Face of ETC Ltd: Our Next Chapter for Future Growth

This year marks a major milestone for us at ETC - we're celebrating our 50th anniversary! And what better way to commemorate this exciting year than by unveiling the face of our new home in London? ETC Ltd's building is designed with both our growing team and valued customers in mind. The new building isn’t just about expanding our operations; it’s also about providing improved facilities and a welcoming environment for our industry friends and partners.

Earlier this month, we officially opened the doors to our new building with an exciting evening event for customers and end users. Despite the snow warnings, visitors from around the world made their way to Auriol Drive to check out the space, have tours of the building, and celebrate this new chapter with us.

Let’s take you on a tour of the building too!

More Space, More Possibilities

At nearly 40,000 square feet (3716 square meters) of floor space, our new building is over double the size of our previous base! This means we've got so much more room to grow and continue expanding our business offering. There are bigger demonstration areas and larger spaces for training, logistics, conferencing and more! There is also a Visualization Suite which can be booked out for programming time on Eos or Hog platforms. The much larger warehouse also holds significantly more inventory to keep up with all the growing demands of the business.

A Design That Inspires

One of the things that we’re most proud of is the building’s design. ETC’s own in-house team developed the design for the new space which is lit and controlled by ETC products – all centered around the F-Drive power control system. This powers ArcSystem Navis fixtures throughout the building; over 150 meters of third party LED tape, and F-Drive compatible Irideon and Source Four Mini LED luminaires. Plus, we've got Unison Paradigm controlling all of the architectural lighting, including occupancy and daylight harvesting sensors. It's all connected and works like a dream!

Our famous ‘Playhouse’ demo facility has also moved to the new building and it now comes with even more floorspace and height! Five Prodigy P2 stage machinery hoists are now included in the space and fitted with the latest range of fixtures - ready for customer demos.

Going Green

As part of our commitment to sustainability, our new building is packed with eco-friendly features:

  • Roof mounted solar panel banks generating 180 kW with on-site battery storage of up to 80 kWh of energy
  • A rainwater harvesting system feeding a 144 m2 external green wall
  • Electric vehicle charging points
  • A BREEAM Outstanding certificate – our landlord is proud that their refurbishment prior to our occupation was the first of its kind and completed to BREEAM Outstanding standards, meaning it’s in the top 1% of non-domestic buildings in the UK
  • -32 A+ EPC Energy rating

We’re excited to be part of the movement toward a greener, more sustainable future. 🌱

Looking Ahead

The opening of our new building is just the beginning of an exciting chapter for ETC Ltd. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we invite you to join us in this next step of our journey. The new building isn’t just for our employees—it’s a place for all of our partners and industry friends to come together and continue building success.

Stay tuned for more updates as we settle into our new home. We hope you’ll stop by and visit us soon.

Opasna joined ETC as a Marketing Communications Specialist in the London office in 2018. Prior to joining the company, she worked in a communications agency in her home town, Manchester. Having a case of the travel bug, she took out some time to explore the world before starting with ETC; a few of her favorite stops include Montenegro, Italy, and India! If she’s not writing, reading or drawing, you will most likely find her dancing, playing some piano or trying out some sort of peculiar new activity (flying planes for example…).
