Danielle Feinberg: Director of Photography for Lighting, Pixar Animation Studios
Danielle Feinberg began her career at Pixar Animation Studios in February 1997, and since then, she has worked on 14 of Pixar’s feature films. At the age of 23, Feinberg’s first role at Pixar was as lead render technical director on A Bug’s Life. She also got her first taste of lighting on this film and quickly found it to be her happy place because of the unique combination of technology and art. Feinberg went on to work as a lighting artist on many of Pixar’s feature films, where she quickly moved up in the ranks – from master lighting artist on Toy Story 2, and Monsters, Inc. to lead lighting artist on The Incredibles.
Bob Barnhart: Lighting Designer for Television Specials
Bob Barnhart started his life in the entertainment industry at California State University Chico and eventually graduated from California Institute of the Arts in Southern California. His 40 years in the entertainment industry started in theater before settling 30 years ago into the Television business. Since 1997 Bob has been a Lighting Designer for Television series and specials. A few of his credits include 22 Academy Awards ceremonies, 21 Super Bowl Halftime shows, VMA’s, Miss Universe, AMA’s, The ESPY Awards, AFI Tribute to Barbra Streisand & Andrea Bocelli in Central Park.
In addition, Bob has designed all 16 seasons of the television series, So You Think You Can Dance. In addition to Television Lighting consultations for Barbra Streisand, Ellen DeGeneres, Drew Barrymore & Debbie Reynolds. Bob has been honored with 45 Emmy Nominations and has been awarded 12 Emmys for “Outstanding Lighting Design in a Television Special or Series”.
Jason Gay - Vice President of Theatre Operations, CAPA & Suzane Bradford - Executive Director at the Lincoln Theatre.
Jason is a Columbus, Ohio, native and a graduate of Otterbein University. He has 32 years of experience in live productions, working with local talent and world-renowned touring artists. Jason lives in Granville, Ohio, and spends time working on his historic home. Other interests include running 5k races, kayaking, and photography
At CAPA, Jason leads a team of 33 full-time and hundreds of part-time team members and volunteers. He oversees venue operations and capital planning for eleven theatres in seven buildings (including four historic theatres). Jason is the planning and operational lead for the largest free Latino cultural festival in the Midwest (Festival Latino). CAPA theatres host over 700,000 ticketed patrons and over 775 events each year, making it one of the largest performing arts presenters in Ohio.
As the association’s executive, Suzane Bradford leads the Lincoln Theatre operations and is critical in steering its strategic direction. Bradford is key in fundraising, advocacy, community collaboration, educational and performance program management, and stakeholder relations. She took Lincoln Theatre’s blank canvas in its rebirth in 2009 and turned it into a magical and transformative space of great ideation and implementation driven by Lincoln’s strategic plan, mission, and vision. Her dedication to local artists, the elevation of community creative placemaking fields, and the goal of national recognition for Lincoln have earned her numerous honors throughout her tenure and practice. The Lincoln is dedicated to the pollination of nostalgia and innovation with a focus on the artists and the audience in all aspects of theatre operations, technical capacity, hospitality, and authentic experiences.
Console Programmers
We'll have console labs open for CUE attendees to learn and play! Take a class, learn new tips and tricks, and then get your hands on your favorite ETC console under the guidance of some of the best programmers in the world.
Alyssa Eilbott
Alyssa is a New York City-based Lighting Programmer with experience programming in a myriad of environments, including theatre, television, and live events. A selection of her recent theatrical projects includes The Picture of Dorian Gray (Broadway), All In (Broadway), Suffs (Broadway), and Come From Away (Apple TV+ Live Capture, North American Tour, and Newfoundland Concert). Her television and live events projects include the US Figure Skating Championships, the Knicks and Rangers at Madison Square Garden, and the installation of a variety of television studios such a NY1, PGA Tour and NBC Sports. She was also a contributing programmer on Netflix's You and Marvel's Daredevil: Born Again.
David Ayton
David is a freelance Eos programmer and trainer based in London, working across theatre, opera, dance, and television — while also juggling life as a dad of 2. His recent credits include The Picture of Dorian Gray in the West End, Punchdrunk’s immersive Viola’s Room and Company Wayne McGregor’s Deep Staria in Montpellier and on its international tour.
David is a Lighting Director and Console Operator at Sky TV in London. He was the lead Eos programmer for Johnnie Walker Princes Street in Edinburgh, an immersive visitor attraction blending storytelling and cutting-edge technology, and will, later this year, be the lighting programmer on The Hunger Games stage production.
Jen Kershaw
Jenny is a highly experienced lighting programmer and Eos console trainer with over 15 years of freelance programming work behind her. Having transitioned her focus in recent years, she now specializes in delivering Eos console training at all levels—from introductory to advanced sessions. Jenny has taught extensively in London and regularly travels across the UK and internationally, with recent training work in Norway, Holland, and Spain.
Jenny’s programming work includes Hidden, Autobiography, and Dream of Gerontius (all lit by Lucy Carter), as well as the West End production of Funny Girl with Mark Henderson. She has collaborated with leading designers including Paule Constable, Jo Town, Malcolm Rippeth, and Paul Pyant. She has brought productions to life in prestigious venues such as the Royal Opera House, National Theatre, Sadler’s Wells, West End theatres, and venues both across the UK and internationally.
Jonathan Allender-Zivic
Jonathan Allender-Zivic (He/Him) has been designing, working, and teaching in the theatrical space for over two decades. He has been a contract EOS trainer since 2017. In 2022, Jonathan patented his invention, Cable Munkey®, a cable management device. As the owner of Munkey Industries LLC, he serves as the principal trainer, designer, consultant, and inventor. Jonathan is a member of USITT and a Commissioner for the Lighting Commission.
Mike Atkins
Mike Atkins has spent over 20 years behind the console, programming lights for everything from national tours and corporate shows to major festivals. A true hybrid of artist and technologist, he’s known for blending creative design with rock-solid show control systems that just work.
He’s especially at home on High End Systems Hog consoles and brings a practical, collaborative vibe to every room he walks into. Mike is the creator of StagePilot, a cue automation tool designed to streamline complex productions, and the founder of Immerse, a live event consultancy specializing in creative technology and show systems.
Scott K. Tusing
Scott is a Lighting Programmer based in New York City, primarily working in commercial theatre. Recent projects include Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Broadway, SF, Toronto, Hamburg, North American Tour), The Last Five Years (Broadway), &Juliet (Broadway), Six (Aragon, Boleyn Tours), and Blue Man Group (North American Tour).
Evening Entertainment
On Monday evening, anyone coming into town a little early should join us for the casual Welcome Reception at the conference center with appetizers, drinks, and live music.
Tuesday evening, attendees will enjoy the laid-back vibes of the annual picnic at the factory. Test your stagehand skills at the Tech Games, hang out on the amphitheater lawn, and catch up with other CUE friends and colleagues.
