Kicking off at the Christmas Theater in Athens, Greece, this latest tour adds another exciting chapter to the show’s storied history. Behind the scenes, [Papadimas AVL](https://www.papadimasavl.gr/en/) has played a key role in executing the technical production, using ETC lighting and control solutions to support the demands of this high-caliber, fast-moving tour. #### **A Historic Moment for Greek Theatre** With music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse, *Chicago* remains one of the most iconic productions in musical theatre. This tour marks a milestone: Nadia Boule stars as Roxie Hart, becoming the first Greek actress to play the role. She performs alongside a dynamic international cast including Laura Tyrer as Velma Kelly, Matt Blaker as Billy Flynn, Amy Webb as Mama Morton, and Danny Becker as Amos Hart. ![Chicago-1](https://blog.etcconnect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Chicago-1.jpg?width=800&height=514&name=Chicago-1.jpg) > “We are extremely proud to be part of the incredible *Chicago The Musical* production,” said Panagiotis Papadimas, General Manager of Papadimas AVL. “This project has not only captivated audiences across Europe but has also given us the chance to showcase the strength of our team and the trust we place in our technology partners.” #### **Lighting Design That Tells the Story** The tour brings to life the original bold and theatrical lighting design by Broadway legend Ken Billington. Translating this vision for multiple venues across Europe was a complex task. Papadimas AVL took on the challenge, ensuring that the design’s artistic impact remained intact at every stop. To support these technical needs, they used lighting and control products from ETC, valued for their dependable quality. ![Chicago Musical Europe ETC 6](https://blog.etcconnect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Chicago%20Musical%20Europe%20ETC%206.jpg?width=800&height=533&name=Chicago%20Musical%20Europe%20ETC%206.jpg) > “The project has been a rewarding challenge, with performances already held in Athens, Thessaloniki, Cyprus, Ljubljana, Vienna, Tallinn, and soon in Ankara and Istanbul,” Papadimas noted. “We’re humbled by the response from audiences and proud of what our team has accomplished.” ![Chicago-Europe](https://blog.etcconnect.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Chicago-Europe.jpg?width=800&height=408&name=Chicago-Europe.jpg) #### **A Lasting Collaboration** As *Chicago The Musical* continues its tour across Europe, Papadimas AVL relies on lighting and control solutions from ETC – supplied by Athens-based distributor [Audio & Vision](https://www.audiovision.gr/)[– Sound, Light & Visual](https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.audiovision.gr%2F&data=05%7C02%7CKatherine.Stamp%40etcconnect.com%7Cc38169ae2af4411f62c108dd99da1f03%7C7b4bd27c05594011bd2aae82816396f2%7C0%7C0%7C638835884319562753%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=vBPUDx5zZ1rNOjJQRedEaXqrmphZfn%2BmpU5cNey8f%2Bw%3D&reserved=0)[Systems](https://nam10.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.audiovision.gr%2F&data=05%7C02%7CKatherine.Stamp%40etcconnect.com%7Cc38169ae2af4411f62c108dd99da1f03%7C7b4bd27c05594011bd2aae82816396f2%7C0%7C0%7C638835884319585385%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=CeYNktpbWYgDtPEui4jinJIKHU3y4XAiQzZEfnusAa8%3D&reserved=0)to meet the technical demands of the production.
